Sixty Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Sixty (“the app”) is made by Material Systems LLC to help teen drivers and their parents track supervised practice-driving hours and follow North Carolina's graduated licensing process. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: everything stays on your devices, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
What the app stores
- Profile details you enter. The driver's first name, birthdate, licensing milestones (such as the permit issue date), and the name of a home city or town. These are used to compute eligibility dates and local sunrise/sunset times, and are stored only on your device.
- Practice drive logs. Start and end times, day/night durations, the supervising adult's name, and any notes you add. Stored only in the app's local database on your device.
Location
Sixty does not use GPS and does not track where anyone drives. Day and night hours are calculated from the sunrise and sunset times of the home city you pick from a list. The app never requests location permission.
What we collect
Nothing. Sixty has no servers, no account system, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We — the developer — never receive, see, or have any access to your profile, your teen's drive log, or any other information.
Apple Watch
If you use the Sixty watch app, your iPhone and Apple Watch exchange drive start/stop times and progress totals directly between your own devices using Apple's on-device connectivity. This data is not sent to us or any third party.
Data sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data, because we never receive it in the first place. No data leaves your devices through the app.
Data retention and deletion
Your data lives on your device for as long as you keep it. You can delete individual drives from within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Teens and children's privacy
Sixty is designed to be used by teen drivers (typically 14½ and older) together with a parent or guardian. The app treats a teen's information exactly as it treats everyone's: it is stored only on the device and never collected by us or shared with anyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including minors.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Sixty adds features that change how data is handled (for example, optional family syncing through your own iCloud account), this policy will be updated at this URL with a new “last updated” date before that version ships.
