πŸ‘» GhostPace

Race your daily commute.

GhostPace records your drive, ride, or walk with GPS β€” then replays your past runs as ghosts on a live map. Green means you're ahead. Red means you're behind. Finally settle whether the shortcut is actually faster.

How it works

Your past self is your toughest rival.

Record a trip once and it becomes a ghost β€” a replay of exactly where you were at every second. Next time you make the same trip, race it.

Record with one tap.

Tap the green button when you leave, stop when you arrive. Recording keeps going with your phone locked or in your pocket, and each trip is tagged driving, cycling, or walking.

The Race tab: a live map with a one-tap record button

Race your ghosts live.

Pick any past runs β€” your best, your average, yesterday β€” and their ghosts race along the map beside you in real time. A live delta shows exactly how far ahead or behind you are, and the app taps you the moment you overtake one.

Choosing ghost runs to race against

Know your routes cold.

Group runs into named routes like β€œHome β†’ Office.” GhostPace keeps your best, mean, median, and consistency for every route β€” and medals your top three runs.

Route statistics: best, mean, median, standard deviation, and medaled runs

Watch the race back.

Replay any run β€” or a route's top eight at once β€” as an animated race on the map, with scrubbing and up to 32Γ— speed. Compare whole routes side by side to settle which way to work really is faster.

Private by design

Your commute is nobody's business.

GhostPace is built to know nothing about you. Apple's App Store privacy label for GhostPace reads, in full: β€œData Not Collected.”

πŸ“±

On-device only

Every route, run, and statistic lives in a local database on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, ever.

🚫

No account. No ads.

No sign-up, no analytics, no tracking SDKs, no servers to breach. The app doesn't even use the network.

πŸ—‘οΈ

Delete means delete

Remove a run, a route, or the app itself and the data is gone. There is no copy anywhere else.

⌚️

On your wrist, too.

Start and stop recordings from Apple Watch and get a glanceable race HUD β€” elapsed time, distance, speed, and a live ahead/behind gap for every ghost. The watch taps you when you overtake a ghost, or when one slips past you.
